It’s well nigh impossible to get that separate perspective on your own. All those annoyingly trite sayings about being ‘too close to see the wood for the trees’ have their basis for most of us in a certain amount of truth…

We might get there on our own in the end but it’s a darned sight easier to have someone who’s not too close to us to move the whole process along and avoid wrong turns or cul de sacs.
