And that’s why, even if people are prepared to try doing things differently, they’re likely to slip back into old ways that feel more comfortable as soon as they hit a snag, unless they have knowledgeable support to help them through the sticky patches.

I sometimes see people who are not getting the health or fitness results they want but who are unwilling to try something different. Typically they keep falling for “overnight cures” that don’t work, yet they’re strangely resistant to trying a slower, healthier approach that will work.
